The children in the Tweenie Room where very ‘green fingered’ earlier this week when they were helping Claire to plant some sunflower seeds. Some of the children planted one to take home in a little pot and some seeds were planted to be left at nursery. We will make sure that they get some sunlight and are watered regularly. When we see them starting to grow we will take them outside and plant them in the nursery garden. We will have a competition to see who can grow the biggest sunflower. We would like parents to hand in photographs of their sunflowers along with a measurement so we can see who’s sunflower grows the biggest.
