This week in the garden the older children were planting with Corinne and found a cocoon. We think it might be a beetle. This reminded the children of our caterpillars last year and they were keen to see this lifecycle again. Some of the children visited Mrs Mustard in the office and she ordered the caterpillars for us. We also had another big chat about our newt who eats the tadpoles! We looked at food chains and learned all about different foods that animals eat. We discovered that we (humans) are top of the food chain. Very exciting times in the nursery.
