After listening to various duck stories, one of the children asked if we could go a walk to the loch to see the ducks. We had a lovely stroll along the High Street pointing out different things in the shop windows and different types of transport that passed us. We also saw some builders and they were using a digger. When we got to the loch we watched lots of cygnets swimming along after their mummies. We spoke about the different colours in the duck and swan’s feathers. One of the ladies managed to sneak up on us to take a photograph of us looking at the swans and didn’t let us know till we were back at the nursery.
