Litter

This week our older children had a return visit from our friends at Oatridge College. We talked about litter and the landfill site and how important it is to re-use as much as possible.
We went on a big scavenger hunt and found lots of plastic bottles and tin cans. We sorted these and then talked about our garden friends- the birds, the bees and the butterflies. These friends are so important because they pollinate the flowers and plants. The children made fabulous bird feeders from the bottles and planted strawberries in the tin cans to attract the bees and butterflies. A great learning opportunity for the children. Many thanks to our friends at oatridge!
