Fire pit fun

This week we have had lots of adventures outdoors. We had snack outdoors- toasting our bagels over the fire. This encourages the children to learn life skills – eating socially together and caring for their safety near the fire.
This led the children to explore the experience through play, demonstrating an understanding of learning opportunity. They decided to create their own fire- using real tools to prepare the wood and discussing how to make the fire ‘light up’ and ‘keep going’ by wafting it with air. Fun times at nursery!
