The children were very excited at the beginning of the week when 1 of the eggs started to crack. The following day when we arrived at nursery we had 3 chicks who had hatched out of their shells. By the end of the week 9 of the 12 eggs had hatched and the children were very excited. Mrs Boyd put the chicks on the tuff tray for the children to get a closer look at. Some of the children then painted pictures of the chicks for a display and we read stories about hens and chickens. It has been an eventful week
